text: The Yimsungr do not keep their enemy heads but let them drop to the ground from the bamboo pole, but I saw carved heads hang in some morungs and on several houses the same ropes as in Sangtam villages were tied up with bamboo balls symbolising enemy heads. (Compare page 189). One of the drums was carved in the shape of a buffalo head reminiscent of those of the Ao. Mills thinks he can find linguistic similarities to the Mongsen Ao as well.
