being watched by hostile Nagas |

After about an hour of steep decline we reached our camp. In the evening we heard that a group of warriors from Noklak had followed us along the ridge on the east side of the valley all of the way to Yimpang and had appeared in Yimpang after our departure and declared that they had waited for us to attack Yimpang in which case they would have come to the aid of their friends. We also know that we are constantly watched from those heights by people from Noklak and Pangsha. At night some people come from the post on Mount Yakko and brought a route sketch on which Pangsha and Noklak are entered with some exactness. |
