Tuensang, which hardly has less than 600 houses, had been feared for a long time by its neighbours because of its strength and love for war, but during recent years it has been so much troubled by internal dissent that it has not been able to appear to the outside with the necessary unity and determination. The khel disagreements here took on a more serious form than in any other Naga village (47) and came close to a regular state of war.
