text: On our way to Wakching which did not seem at all far to me, we were passing freshly burnt down jhum fields where some women were busy working. Apparently only tomorrow is the genna day, but to carry my baggage from Wanching to Wakching coolies had been called from Chingphoi as Wanching was not permitted to carry or did not want to, because of the home-bringing of the head.
