text: Everywhere I am cheerfully welcomed and even the shy Balang girls happily laugh at me as the originator of all the festive merriment (92) and they make the gesture of cutting off a head to refer to my deeds. As not much is happening in the Thepong at the moment I use the opportunity to go and eat something as before the dance begins each morung will slaughter a pig and I know quite well that this is going to take its time. As accompaniment to the pig meat, banana hearts are cut up, the traditional food on this occasion. The pig is eaten now in the morung.
