The dance went around the space next to the morung (96) but the row of dancers was so long that the smallest boys had to dance on the inside of the circle in front of their fathers. The young boys were most magnificently attired. Tall feather crowns on their heads, shells with colourful tassels covering their ears, the crescents of the boars tusks encircling their necks, and the family's entire wealth in the form of necklaces of the yellow 'spirit beads' on the heroes' chests.
