text: I forgot to mention on page 94 that after the ceremony in front of the Ang house the young Bala men but not the boys and also not the old men, continued to dance for a while in front of their morung while one man in the dance was carrying a pole with a bamboo model of a horned skull. After the circle dance a stark naked man performed a wild dance by himself while he was holding such a head in his hands. Although he was trying to scare an imaginary enemy with furious screams and his expression had an ecstatic solemnity. The spectators were not at all impressed but loudly expressed their amusement.
