text: Mr Rankin who is a Technical Official of the Assam-Bengal Railway had his own railway carriage in Naginimara. We walked to Naginimara and at 1p.m. the train left for Simalaguri. Rankin invited me to eat with them in their private carriage. There was a long delay in Simalaguri but that did not bother us in our comfortable carriage and I also shared the evening meal with them. At 10.30p.m. I arrived at Manipur Road Station, woke up the people of the Inspection Bungalow and now I am off to sleep.
