text: In the morung the older men were sitting down to a meal. The morung received a shoulder from every slaughtered animal, the poorer people give the leg of a chicken, and every household offers cooked rice and madhu, but all of this is only for the benefit of the old men. The young people like Shankok receive none of this no matter how much they have given themselves. Shankok told me that he has given the leg of the cow to a friend from Chinlong who he has invited to the feast.
