text: (20) Wakching 17/2/1937
text: I knew that Smith's arrival would cause such a commotion that it would not be possible to work normally with the people of Wakching, therefore I went through the village around 9 am., at least to take advantage of the early morning. In Chinyang's house I found apart from Chinyang and his wife, Medzou sitting at the fire as well. They were drinking tea and eating bananas which had been allowed to ferment for some time in madhu. They did not look very appetizing but tasted quite good.
