To my disappointment it was a dull morning and as I was still tired from yesterday's dance I slept until eight o'clock. Not much was moving in the village as well during the morning. Today is the first day of the O-yabu called O-shoi-bu as the pigs are slaughtered on this day, but all during the morning there was not the slightest sign of these preparations. The Ang and his brother were sitting around the fire in the front room of his house and often the Ang's wife sat with them as well as she too did not seem to have anything to do. She is usually accompanied by her little daughter who seems to be a terribly spoilt child. |
