text: In the meantime women and girls are busy making themselves up in the enclosed room to the side of the Ang house. The Ang's main wife seems to be a special artist in making up hair as she has to make up the braids for one girl after the other. She is sitting on the ground, her back to the sun, and in front of her sits a girl whose hair she is just brushing with a small brush made from the thorns of some plant. Then she puts all the hair into one of those wooden cylinders as they are worn as plaits and around all of it she winds a narrow strip of bark fibre
