text: On my way through the village I saw that some rice granaries have protective discs against rats as one sees them among the Chang. Such discs are also supposed to be used occasionally in Hungphoi. My little house on stilts is in relatively good condition but the kitchen hut had to be repaired provisionally. All people were in their fields today until the even while they are building their field huts, and the village looked quite deserted.
