text: The absence of the Neangbas from the gaonburas consultations concerning the question of calendar is symptomatic and indicates a shift of influence in the affairs of the village from the Neangbas to the gaonburas. Supposedly the Neangbas meet today or tomorrow to discuss the same question in the house of one of them (as there is no Ang house) but their decision should hardly change anything.
