In another rather poor house live Yanou of the Shayanghu, all by himself (no. 10). Apparently he is insane, therefore his wife, Belong, returned with her little daughter to her brother's house who is a man from the Angban. It is remarkable that in order to prove how deplorable her state was, Dzingben told me that Yanou hit her four times with his fist during a fight. It shows that Dzingben knows the exact number of blows, a sign that this had been much talked about as a deplorable act. This led to her leaving Yanou. Dzingben says he does not have any idea what Yanou is living on, probably he is begging from those well off. He has to fetch his own water and he steals his wood here and there. |
