text: Late at night some boys brought a cow from the plains (195) which the gaonburas of the two small Namsang had bought as salaam for me. It was killed on the spot and divided. Of course I protested against such a salaam but the gaonburas pacified me by saying that although the cow was slaughtered in honour of me, the people of the village would eat most of it. It was like with Ghawang who also only ate tiny parts of the sacrificed offerings while the people had the rest. I received a leg of the cow which however I will only eat this smallest fraction of.
