text: Towards evening I worked for a full three hours on the word list with the gaonburas Medzou and Metlou. The word 'ah' has three different meanings depending on the tone, that is fire, axe and a type of bamboo. I established with certainty today that there is after all a difference between 'g' and 'k' but the two sounds are so similar that the distinction often is difficult to make.
