text: This year the Ang of Longkhai has seven fields. (45) Three are worked by people of his own household and the other four by the village community. Red rice and taro is grown on the steep slopes. On the more level ones there is white rice. I was also shown a field which the Longkhai people plant for the Ang of Mon. This work is part of the tribute paid to Mon.
