Later the gaonburas get together in the Angban and talk about the situation. I notice that usually only one is talking at a time and the discussion is quite restrained. Then I go to Shankok's house with him where we stay for a long time. I am very tired and almost fall asleep near his fire. Later the boys of Shankok's gang arrive and they are served with white sticky rice, banana core vegetables and warm madhu. The entire gang takes turns eating at each others houses. Then Shankok took a leg of the slaughtered ox over to his morung where there still is a feast going on. |
