text: Today was quite chaotic as Kauffmann is leaving tomorrow and still has to do a hundred and one things. Again and again our verandah is occupied by people who want to sell things and to top it all the Ang of Longkhai came in the afternoon together with his deaf and mute brother. They brought two figures Kauffmann had ordered as well as morung post models for me. His figures represent a man in full ceremonial dress and a woman. They are done in the same manner of grave figures although one never sees a man and a woman on graves but only two men, the deceased and his servant.
