text: The morning found the village in some excitement. The storm had done quite some damage. It had taken down fences and platforms, had thrown big trees to the ground and had blown away the palm leaves from many a roof. After a storm of such force a genna of one day is held. This was not obvious in Wanching as it is a genna day anyway but Metlou says that Wakching too will hold a genna. We could not go as early to Chingphoi as I had planned as the storm had scattered my peoples rice and they had to find some more and cook it.
