text: Now it seems as though the rainy season has started in earnest. In the morning it rained heavily for several hours but the day was virtually clear of rain. Today I felt completely well and in the morning I went to the Bala to complete the list of inhabitants but Metlou was unwell and complained about stomach pains, no doubt the result of eating already smelly pork meat from the Oulingbu. But with the help of Medzou I nevertheless made the list. Surprisingly many people of the Bala come from Chi and while some families have been in Wakching for many generations, others have come from Chi only with the Ang, Longme. In the afternoon I worked with Chinyang. The Ang of Longkhai came as well to bring new carvings.
