text: In the morning around half past nine Shankok came and said that his younger sister's labour group was working on one of his fields and he asked me whether I wanted to go with him. As the sun was shining and I had not been in the fields for some time I gladly went with him. On the average the rice is about a foot tall and even taller on some fields. The individual fields are very different. On some the seeds germinated well, on others a bit sparsely, but in general the people of Wakching are happy.
