text: The success denied yesterday was brought about to a surprising degree today. My little kitten gulped down enormous amounts of meat but only drinks the milk if some little pieces of meat are added to it. Yesterday's shyness is completely gone and although it moves like a small animal of prey I can touch her without difficulty and when I carry her off the verandah she follows me on the lawn like a little dog. Its only disadvantage is its strong smell of wild animal.
