text: Early in the morning the coolies arrived from Kongan and Namsang. Just this time when I could have used them there were less than usual who came for each load. They fastened bamboo poles to the smaller boxes. Each one of these was carried four to eight men but no one dared to approach the biggest one and I already feared that it could not go off today, but finally we did get together enough people to tie this monster too to strong bamboo poles and move it along. However ten men were hardly able to lift it.
