In Pfesa-Chadumi the Chidotsomi clan provides the Thewo. Here Iyini was Thewo and died this year. They think that Shitso, his first cousin (they have a common grandfather) is going to succeed, - but he can't be established till after harvest. For Iyini (8) died after the sowing of millet and nothing can be done until the end of the agricultural year. Iyini has got an unmarried son, who is too young to succeed, - but he might succeed when Shitso dies. |

Shitso is a man under forty, and is considered as too young for the position of Thewo. But as there is nobody else in Iyini's family who could succeed it is almost certain that Shitso will be elected. |

Pfesa-Chadumi forms an exception among the Eastern Angami villages, as there is no fixed house-site on which the Thewo must live. Iyini's son (9) will go on to live on the house site of his father, - Shitso will live in his own old house. |
