text: (23) The Thevos of Pfesa-Chadumi belong to the Chitutsumi khel but Pokri, while being Thevo quarrelled with the gaonbura of his khel, and in order to annoy the people of his khel he joined the Rohotsumi khel. His change was simply verbal, he did not move his house, but it had the effect that if there was a funeral in the Rohotsumi khel he shared the Rohotsumi meat. But the people of the Rohotsumi khel have certain disabilities and are under special taboos.
text: The history and origin of the Rohotsumi khel is as follows:
text: A woman from Kekrima went to Razama and found an orphan boy, whose name was Roho. (24) She took him to her village, where his parentage was unknown. There was some doubt if he might not be a bastard. He went to Pfesa-Chadumi when the village was founded and his descendants form part of the Rohotsumi khel, which is called after him.
text: Since this khel contains the descendants of a possible bastard, it cannot provide a Thevo, First Reaper and First Sower. But it may provide a Chekro. If several people rebuild their houses, the members of the Rohotsumi khel have to wait till all other people have finished their houses.
text: When Pokri joined the Rohotsumi khel he automatically ceased to (25) be Thevo, though never before a similar case had happened and the situation was not foreseen by custom.
text: If Pokri had gone to another khel he might have remained Thevo.
text: The office was taken over by Iyeni, his father's elder brother's son.
text: If his son, Tepuzio, returns to the Chitutsumi khel he might become Thevo some day.
