1. Tasha - a mithan is killed, pigs are killed and madhu made - any man may kill the mithan with a spear - then the two Kemovos eat and drink first. The wife of the sacrificer pours madhu on leaf cups and hands them to the Kemovos, - they first say a blessing and then drink. After eight days (which are genna for the sacrificer) his clansmen go to his fields and work them for one day. |

At first (Zuhetsu) three or four men of any clan come to the sacrificer's house and kill cows, buffaloes and pigs and distribute among the clansmen and friends of the sacrificer. After six days the sacrificer takes some men to cut fire wood - this day is called Sedu - they leave it in the jungle and don't carry it home. |

After about one month the rice is cut - when reaping is finished the Ganagete Genna is made by the whole village. (35) For three days after the Ganagete the sacrificer collects rice from the men who get meat at Zuhetsu. |

Then he puts rice into water to ferment, - this day is called Thozu. |

The next day (Thotu) the rice is pounded for the madhu, - The girls & divorced young women strain the pounded rice, but the pounding is done by the young men in memorial dress. Then they boil water and pour in the rice flour and then cook it till it gets thick. The next day (Zuzu) the madhu is made. (36) Four days the madhu is left for ferment. On the fifth day (Kizi) the actual genna begins. Mithans, buffaloes, cows and pigs are killed. |
