Ang: Bai-wang of Ang-ha-ba clan.

Now there is only one morung: Nang-tong-ban. In former times there were two morungs. There are much less men in the village now.

The Ang has three sons by one wife, and 1 by the other, the one of Ang-ha-ba clan.

Ang-ha and Wang-shu don't intermarry - all the other clans do intermarry.

There are only 28 houses. Long-lam is a colony of Mon. Formerly every house gave one basket of rice. Now-a-days they bring to Mon only one pig, madhu and rice (143) and make a feast at which they eat with the Mon people.

At the O-ze-a (Ou-ling-bu) they build the field house for the Ang, then they make a platform outside the Ang's house, all the morung boys go and cut one bamboo and take it to a small house built by the boys, - the next morning they take it to the Ang's house and put it on the roof, on the third day they stick the bamboo into the ground close to the posts of the platform. Then they kill pigs, cows and buffaloes, - at the killing no names of gods are mentioned.

On the day when they cut the bamboo the Ang-ha (a sort of minister of the Ang) puts rice, meat and bamboo into a leaf and fastens it at the bamboo. He says [ ] (145)

This sacrifice is made for Ha-sang, the sky-god; he is the greatest of all gods, therefore everything. Hashiyoiran is in the earth.
