text: |
(48) The present Ang's, MANG-GA's wife, Pong-nio is from Choha. When her father died she came with her mother and elder brother to Chui. The mother married a Chui man of Anhaba clan. After a short time they made the Ang angry by speaking against him, therefore the whole family, husband, wife, the two elder children and a daughter by the Chui man went to Wakching. The brother died, the younger sister married the Ang of Kongan, the parents divorced and Pongnio's mother lives today at Shiong with her mother, while her step-father is still in Wakching. She has three sons. (49) The wife of Wang-shok, the Ang's brother, is Shong-moi of Totok. Shongmoi's father's elder brother was Ang of one morung of Totok, and this was defeated by a stronger morung and the half of the people went to Chinlong and then to Shiong. The stronger morung was Mo-ha, the expelled morung was Ang-dzeang. The third morung of Totok was Dzie-nong. Then Moha and Dzienong killed most of the remaining people and even the children of the Ang-dzeang. But they did not take any heads. (50) All the three morungs discussed a quarrel about fields, then half the morung emigrated. Later on one of the remaining men was killed by the other morungs by fastening him at the head stone and shooting at him. Then all the Ang-dzeang men who had been mixed up in the original quarrel were killed, while the others remained. |
