text: First the oldest man of the house kills a pig and the head is taken to Chinyak's house, one hind leg and the liver and one basket of rice is given to the old men of the morung (those who dispose the dead). Half of the pig is divided among the men of the (124) clan. The other half is taken by the boy's parents. The boys are apparently not instructed. On this day the boy gets one dao, one spear and one basket and one belt. From this time on he sleeps in the morung, gets a share in all the morung meat, a share of game killed by the morung, and if he dies the morung boys beat the drum. The morung boys work on the fields of the morung. The morung only hires fields, it doesn't possess any of its own.
