text: Yesterday Ahon came to Wakching and told me that today the Lai-pham-bu genna would be held at Shiong and I should come too. Though it was pouring from early morning on and the paths looked more like (29) small brooks than like roads, I left the bungalow at eight. After about half an hour the rain became a little less heavy, but there was a strong wind which drove thick, grey clouds over the hills. A little before 9a.m. we arrived at Shiong. Thanks to my waterproof and heavy boots I was only moderately wet.
