text: (41) When a Great Ang married an Ang's daughter he does not go to fetch his bride, but she is brought by his and her relatives - often he hasn't seen her before.
text: When he married a girl of his own village he takes her to his house as soon as the marriage price is paid and her legs are tattooed. First the engagement is arranged, then a chicken is killed, then the girl is tattooed and only then she goes to her husband's house.
text: The customs of the ordinary people are pretty like those (42) of Wakching, - others take their wives at once to their houses.
