In the men's room where guests are received: the Ang, the small Ang, the Ang of Wanching, one gaonbura and an old man are sitting near the fire. Some of them drink tea, others are chewing betel. |

Shankok and Yongem eat on a machan inside the room. This machan is newly built, apparently for guests. They are given rice and pork. Four other Wakching men sit also on the machan chewing betel. The small Ang brings a wooden dish with (51) pork and puts it on the suspended bamboo platform over the fire. |
