text: (69) The Ang of Chingphoi, Shumwang, whose family originally came from Chi (many generations ago) died three years ago. His eldest son, Wangphu, succeeded him, though he is even now a mere boy of about 13.

text: There is one younger brother of Shumwang: Nai-wang, who lives in a house of his own. (70) Nai-wang acts now-a-days as Ang in some respects, in settling disputes. But the villagers work in the fields of Wangphu. The Ang receives the head and one hind leg of every game killed. At the Oulingbu he receives one piece (from the back) of every pig sacrificed, and one hind leg of every cow or mithan killed. He doesn't receive anything from animals killed at ceremonies for illness.
text: (71) Shumwang's only wife was of Mum-lim clan. They are searching now for an Ang girl for Wangphu in the other villages, but they have not yet found any.
text: Nai-wang is the son of a woman of "slave" clan and cannot succeed therefore.
