text: | Before a household begins the reaping of the rice the house-holder kills a chicken in front of the field house and brings it home, where it is eaten. That day the whole household is genna. None of the people living in the house speaks to anybody else. If they meet people on the road they let them pass on the left side. They neither give "pan", or fire, or water (66) to anybody on that day. |
