text: Omen with egg: The egg is held in the hand, on top a small hole is made, then it is warmed (91) from below by a fire - the question is to which direction the white of the egg flows on coming out. The Neangbas make this omen and say: [konyak] They say there is no black-magic (cf. p. 92ff) But they hear that Chui and Mon have some secret knowledge to make people ill. They know that the Ao have a practice to make people ill (with hair).
