The owner of the land on which the sick man thinks to have attracted the (138) illness kills a cock and without cooking it he gives the head, wings and feet, and the intestines, moreover ginger, salt and chillies to Ghawang. The head is stuck on a panji and faces the sky. Then he bows eight times counting three times up to six. Beside the owner, 2 or 5 other men are present, and then eat the chicken. They all must eat their share. If one would refuse and say: "I don't want to eat this piece", Ghawang would not accept the sacrifice, "For Ghawang sees us every moment, he is near though we can't see him". |
