text: (124) Disputes are settled and fines imposed by a council consisting of the Ang, the two morung Angs and all adult men of the Ang clan assembling in the Wa-him-bang (cf. p. 106).
text: If a man steals rice from another he is fined and the fine is divided between the Angs and the owner of the rice in equal parts, the rice is not given back.
text: If an Ang's wife committed adultery the culprit was killed, either with a dao or in any other way. The guilty wife could be killed too.
text: (125) Disputes about boundaries are settled by the young men of the Ang's clan. There is no appeal against their decision. They usually draw the boundary between the two lines claimed by the two quarrelling men.
