text: In the old times an Ang could take any Ben girl by force to his house as long as she lived with her parents and not her husband. The Mon Ang still does like that and (134) formerly even could take girls from Longkhai and Hungphoi. In villages where only one Ang family is and all the other households are Ben it happened that the Ang was driven away. In villages like Oting or Hungphoi with a strong Ang this would be difficult.
