When a man kills game and calls other men to share it with him, each of them brings two "nan-shou" chungas with rice. When the brothers of a man's wife build a house he gives them two "nan-shou's" of chaul.

They eat with him in his house. Moreover he gives small pieces of raw meat to every (53) household of his clan within the morung; the "Great House" doesn't get more, but his own brothers may take bigger shares.

When a son builds a house of his own he calls his father whenever he kills game. The father takes for himself as much as he likes and says how the meat should be divided. When the son sacrifices an animal he calls his father to kill it and the latter takes of the intestines as much as he likes. (54) A married man, whose wife is still in her parents' house, calls her and her parents to eat in his house when he has killed game. But his own father first takes his shares.
