text: | When a man was killed in war and his head taken, the men and boys of his morung assembled in his house at (75) night and waited for the soul of the man to come back. When they heard a cracking or any noise, they shouted: [konyak] "soul, give, soul, give" and clapped their hands together as if catching the soul. When a man is drowned he is buried near the river. |
