whose father Neyizo took heads before and while he was Thevo. The first Thevo in Chezwezumi was Pfono, but nobody knows who was Thevo before Neyizo. Tepuchi's house is not on Pfono's house-site. Pfono abandoned his first house-site because enemies raided the village and it was dangerous. The first house-site is now occupied by somebody else. (36) There are two Thevos in Chezwezumi. The other Thevo is called Saso. They made two thevos because one Thevo is like a man without a wife. All those villages on Satazumi range have two Thevos. They are of different []. Tepuzi is of Pokrunomi clan. Saso is of Puchonami clan. Pfono was of Puchonami clan. Venoro was Thevo after Pfono, he was of Pesonomi clan. There was only one Thevo to start with. Neyizo was the first Th. of Pokrunomi. (37) The village was entirely dispersed by enemies and Neiyzo (sic) said, "we can't completely abandon our old village", and always kept a fire alive. Some people went to other villages, some lived in the field. Thus he became a new founder, he lived in a shelter of branches on this site. |
