text: Chinkak the present Ang of Wakching - his father, Long-me. Chinkak is not a proper Ang (his mother []). He is a hopeless opium eater, he has wasted all his father's property, and (36) he hasn't even got a house of his own. No house is on the Ang's house site. He lives in a dead man's house. They say they ought to get a proper Ang, but they can't work for the Government and an Ang. Chinkak has sold all his fields - the village has assigned them some fields, they are doing one field for him this year. He hasn't even seen his fields.
text: Yan-yik - brass necklace with heads.
