text: The interior of the houses, not to be entered with shoes, is outstandingly clean, with a smooth cow-dunged floor. In the verandah of one house a girl was weaving and we later were shown specimens of coloured cloths woven by Dimasa. Probably thanks to Doalagupu's presence the people were very cooperative and friendly. We entered a house and were offered excellent rice-beer in brass cups of the heavy type.
