text: Very depressed by the apparent end of my filming, I walked up to Linglopunga, the village to the south of the saddle. It is gloriously situated on the top of a hill with a view far into Manipur. (44) The men we met in the morung were very cooperative and we learned more about landholding and also the migrations. It seems that Linglopunga (now Linglo) was the site on which 3 generations ago, the people of Hasoichak lived before they moved to Hasoichak. The Kadepeo apparently own land in various places, and these holdings may well indicate the alternative village-sites.
