After a rainy and misty morning we started once again in three jeeps following a good road which passes below Longkai. Speeding along I thought of the long and hot marches in 1936. At that time the construction of motor roads in these hills would have appeared a fantastic extravagance, but now there is quite a bit of traffic on the road to Wakching.
