text: (62) Two or three fields below this rest place we saw large numbers of people working in one large field, while elsewhere only family groups were busy. This was one of Shoupa's seven fields and the men and boys harvesting were of the Bala morung. When the morung was burnt down Shoupa gave them one whole store-basket of rice as a contribution, and in repayment of this gift the Bala men voluntarily gave Shoupa their free labour to harvest one of his fields.
