text: Shiong is totally Christian and no more rites are performed. What a contrast to 1937 when the bringing of a piece of Pangsha skull was the occasion for the full head hunting rites. A result of those celebrations are the tattoos on the faces on several middle-aged men. A gaonbura told me that the tattoo covering his whole face was made after those celebrations.
