During the period of the underground movement Wanching was once completely surrounded by underground guerillas and forced to pay money and food. In those days villages were terrorized into making such contributions. - Today news came of some incident in the Phom area across the Dikhu, and there was some talk of underground men planning to come to Wanching.- But there is an outpost nearby, and on the way back we saw a group of Indian troops with laden mules going in the direction of Wakching. |
